HEAD START CULTURAL FAIR
COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP OF RAMSEY & WASHINGTON COUNTIES | PHALEN LAKE PAVILION
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2023
12 P.M. – 4 P.M.
Minnesota Community Action Partnership is pleased to announce network agency, Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties, is holding a free Cultural Fair for its Head Start and Early Head Start families.
CAPRW wants to celebrate the diversity of the people it serves in its Head Start programs and throughout the agency. The nonprofit is prepared for 500 people to attend.
Head Start children and families will find the program honors them and celebrates all their cultures. Music and dance performers at the Cultural Fair were selected to ensure there was representation of various backgrounds. There’ll also be face painting and other children’s activities available.
CAPRW is planning to provide food from at least three different cultures at the fair. The food, which includes rice and egg rolls (Asian), Sambosa (Somali) and street tacos (Hispanic) are being provided by three small businesses.
In addition, agencies such as the Young Mom's Program, LEAP Pediatric Clinic and Y Trans. Housing and others will be on hand to share information with attendees.
CAPRW invites you to attend the Cultural Fair to capture content and on-site interviews about the impact of this event and other Community Action programs and services. Learn more about CAPRW at caprw.org.
