West Central MN Communities Action commemorated 60 years of Community Action on Tuesday, Sept. 24 in Elbow Lake. The agency hosted a Community Impact Event, gathering together staff, partners, clients, board members, and local officials who have played a vital role in its mission to uplift and support the communities it serves.

Elbow Lake's Mayor, Deb Hengel, shared inspiring words about the importance of community collaboration and Community Action, and a representative from Senator Amy Klobuchar's office also attended, highlighting the significance of grassroots efforts in driving change at the local and national levels.
From providing essential services to advocating for those in need, West Central MN Communities Action has remained steadfast in its mission. The Community Impact Event not only celebrated past achievements but also brought excitement about contining to build strong partnerships, addressing community needs, and guide residents to self sufficiency.
