Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc. CEO, Jason Carlson, announced that Joyce Tangen has been hired as the director of Tri-Valley’s Head Start, Child, and Family Programs. She will begin her duties as the new director on October 23.
“Now that the search process is complete, I look forward to getting Joyce acquainted with our amazing Head Start and Migrant Education Program staff,” states Carlson. “The experience Joyce has earned, and the ideas she expressed through the interview process, will enhance our ability to serve the children and families we work with.”
Prior to Tri-Valley, Tangen was the Director of Early Learning and Teaching at ESD 113 Sound to Harbor Early Learning in Tumater, Wash. She began her Head Start career in Minnesota and double-majored, earning Bachelors of Science degrees in psychology and early childhood at Bemidji State University.
